Plexamp only find Plex Server if remote access is enabled

Hello,

Plexamp only finds my Plex server if remote access is enabled.
Without remote access enabled, Plexamp only find podcasts.
Even if I’m not open the port on my router so that the server tells me, that he isn’t reachable from the internet Plexamp will find the server.

Server Version#: 1.23.3.4707
Player Version#: 3.5.0

Thanks
Haruzept

Are you actually trying to access your server from outside your home network? Keep in mind Plex might consider a different subnet of your home network to be a remote connection unless specifically told to treat that subnet to be part of your local network/LAN.

It doesn’t matter if I’m inside or outside from my home network. I have two subnets and no vLans or so. I use wireguard as a vpn to connect to my network from outside. The plex server is on another subnet than my vpn connection, but i connect with my local vpn ip to plex in the same subnet.

Example:
Plex: 192.168.178.100/24
VPN: 192.168.178.101/24
VPN-Sub: 192.168.179.1/32
Android: 192.168.178.20/24
Android-VPN: 192.168.179.2/32

Intern:
Android → Plex (can’t find with plexamp, but if plex app)

VPN:
Android-VPN → VPN-Sub → VPN → Plex (can’t find with plexamp, but if plex app)
