PlexAmp sometimes failing to save/update time stamp

What is the proper way to exit the application so the current track progress is saved? I am listening to audiobooks and I’ve noticed that the progress only gets saved/updated about 30% of the time (that is a very rough estimate, not an exact figure). Am I not exiting the application correctly? Does the track location get saved locally or on the plex server or both? I’ve made a screen recording of what I’m seeing. At some point the 5:44:12 time stamp was saved and no matter what I do or how far into the book I get, if I close the application and reopen it, the playback starts at 5:44:12.

The next release (out in the next day or so) has some bug-fixes around this and I think for your issue specifically, but generally:

  • Progress is saved on server.
  • Progress should always be saved regardless of how you exit the app.

I updated the app and now I no longer see this issue happening. It appears to have been fixed. Thank you!
