The plexamp mobile app lets you listen to “moods radios”. However it seems that it only pulls from album moods. Most albums have a variety of moods within the album. It would be way better if there was a way to listen to “song moods” radios. Then I could actually use the moods feature. Right now, it’s not super useful having to put an entire album into moods.
It would also be super useful if there was some way to pull the album moods into the song moods by default, then have the ability to change it per song.
I agree, it might make the library view too large. I think another option would be for the “mood radios” to include tracks that have that mood in addition to albums with that mood. Then I could manually remove moods from albums if it doesn’t fit
One way I could get around it would be to choose a couple moods and make smart playlists, but I already have too many playlists and I can’t add playlists into folders like I can for Spotify. Actually, If I could just make a playlist folder called “moods” full of smart playlists I could essentially build the feature I want
I think it would be a cleaner solution to just be able to add playlists into folders. Then I could add this feature using smart playlists in a folder called “moods”.
I’m surprised there isn’t an open feature request for playlist folders when most major music players have that feature. So I created a new feature suggestion.
Just stumbled across your response after quite some time.
There is an open/related feature suggestion to organize playlists in folders – it’s actually linked as the reason why the suggestion you linked has been closed as a duplicate.
