PlexAmp stops airplaying after a while

I am trying to play music. So I open up PlexAmp, airplay to my speaker, and press play. It works… until about 5-10m later it pauses playback and disconnects the airplay session. So if I press play again immediately, it plays from my phone speaker. This happens regularly.
May be related to the phone going to sleep as I’m setting my phone down and trying to focus on other things, like cooking dinner or work. So somehow Plexamp can’t keep the AirPlay connection alive for more than 5 mins or so.
Very annoying. Very annoying.

Note, this issue does not arise when playing via Bluetooth to headphones. It seems related to airplay.

I use AirPlay all the time and haven’t observed this issue, although of course different speakers behave differently. If you posted the Plexamp logs right after a disconnect it might show something, but it’s somewhat likely that the system is doing the disconnection for some reason.

Post the logs and we’ll have a look!
