For the last few months, every time I listen to a track, It will scrobble in doubles. I even got 7+ duplicates in a row today. A bit long to deal with since I’m not a big fan of having to manually delete scrobbles after I listen to music. Would anyone know why this is happening? I’ve signed out & in again and have no other connected applications other than Plex on my phone and MacBook.
There is one case when multiple scrobbles occur. Everytime connection drops and plexamp reconnects to the server, it sends a scrobble. So if you connection keeps dropping in connecting, multiple scrobbles get counted. Server should ideally reject multiple plays from the same device of same item within short time. This reminds of Tom Scott’s video about 2 generals.
