Plexamp Track Radio Not Working

I am having problems with the Play Track Radio function, on both the Plexamp Mac app and iOS app, where every track says “Couldn’t start playback.”

Initially the Radio button on both was greyed out but I am now able to start the Album radio.

I have running v4.12.4 on OS Sequoia 15.6.1 and iOS 18.6.2 so it should be compatible and I have the Plex Pass and have selected the Sonic Analysis on the Media Server. My library is 273,000 so I would hope it can find similar songs BUT is the library too big?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can provide more info / logs etc although admittedly (and probably obvious by my question) I am very much a surface level user and don’t know much about what’s under the hood!! Thank you!

Then it might take a few weeks until every song has been analysed.

Is there a way to see if the analysis is still running or the status of it? It’s not showing up on the usual metadata library update bit.

Analysis of existing tracks is only running during the nightly server maintenance.
If you look at the Plex Media Server.logx from this period, you should see messages about sonic analysis popping up in there.

Radios would have been effected by this bug BUG - Similar Artists metadata field no longer populated which has been fixed with beta version 1.42.2.10122.

However, you also need to refresh the metadata of the artists (better to do the whole library) to fully fix this.

This may or may not help your specific issue but worth a shot.

Track radio primarily uses sonic info.
