sorry it took so long!
Hey it says something about how much we love this product if I could have solved the problem by just using the old plexamp, or the web player, but instead suffered through until it was done
Since I seem to have your ear I’ll drop the only 2 bugs/annoyances I have left in the entire app (amazing it’s this perfect for my use cases btw):
Switching audio output due to android auto gets it stuck on “phone speaker” mode
steps to reproduce:
- plug phone into car. It starts up perfectly, resumes where I left off
- turn off car, jump out to pump gas, jump back in, turn car on
- Plexamp resumes the song, but the audio comes out of my phone speaker instead of the stereo
Workaround: manually kill plexamp (swipe out of task list, no need to force kill) on your phone any time you disconnect from android auto and know you’re going to reconnect before the plexamp app/service is put to sleep. Starting from scratch seems to select the proper audio output
Why I think this is plexamp and not android auto or my 4 year old OnePlus 5 phone: This only happens with plexamp, and not spotify or di.fm. Also there used to be some similar issues with bluetooth doing the same thing but those seem to have been fixed
Play queue is lost after connecting and disconnecting to a google cast speaker
steps to reproduce:
- queue up some music and start listening
- connect to a google cast speaker
- disconnect
- now you’re entire queue is lost
Why it’s annoying beyond the obvious: I have it setup to auto-download the next 50 songs in my queue so when I head downtown to go to work I don’t rack up data usage. Now if I listen to music on my google home max while making breakfast and getting ready to head out the door, I’ll clear my queue and lose the 50 songs that were pre-downloaded for my commute.
Let me know if you want me to create new forum topics for these or report them anywhere else for your ticket tracker. Thanks again!
Don’t hit the disconnect button, tap the “This Device”, no? Disconnect is intended to leave the PQ behind (which for CC devices nukes it).
