Plexamp Windows - Webhook

Hi,

When I playback music within the Plexamp windows client the webhook data sent out from the server shows the Player Title as ‘NCC 1701 D’, when playing back media via Windows Plex Client the title is ‘NCC-1701-D’

Plex for Windows client is correct, the computer name is ‘NCC-1701-D’

Plex authorised devices, show:

Webhook Data received shows:

Plexamp playing…
Player:
local: true
title: NCC 1701 D

Plex Client playing…
Player:
local: true
title: NCC-1701-D

I have tried logging out from Plexamp, uninstalling, removed it as an authorised device… Then I went back and re-installed Plexamp but it is still showing as ‘NCC 1701 D’.

I also tried removing both the Plexamp and Plex client as authorised devices, uninstalling both applications and installing Plexamp only. That has not helped neither.

Is this expected behaviour for the Plexamp client to remove the dashes from the player title?

Thank you.

Wow, you went to a rather extreme length for the sake of a -

Check out Plexamp settings, in Experience > Player Name and you can name it whatever you’d like.

Thanks for the reply.

One of my home automations monitors the webhooks and reacts on the event(s) taking place against the Player title.

with the missing ‘-’ it was not responding to event

I checked plex amp on another windows device (NCC-1701-E) of mine and it was the same. Something that Plexamp doesn’t like about ‘-’ during initial install ?

I have updated the player name as you mentioned within the app.

Thank you.
