Plexamp with airplay on rpi?

Hi all,

I have a headless rpi 3 that is plugged into my stereo input with a DAC shield. I have rasplex v2 installed, and also have the rpi set up to be an airplay reciever. However, whenever rasplex is running, it blocks the airplay output to the stereo. Is there any way to make rasplex act as an airplay receiver as well?

Thanks. I’ve already set up the rpi as an airplay receiver. The problem is that plexamp and shairport compete for the audio device. So, I currently can’t have both airplay and plexamp running at the same time… which is what i’d like to do…

Oh got ya. I guess i didn’t read it right.

I’ve hoped to do the same. My current setup is Shairport-Sync > Audio Pipe > Forked-Daapd > Local Audio Device. If Plexamp could output to a pipe (or at least if I could figure out how to make it do so), then Forked-Daapd could pick it up when there is audio filling the pipe and play it on the local output. The uber-cool thing is FD could also stream the Plexamp pipe to all the Airplay speakers in my home… but alas, I can’t pipe output from Plexamp.
