Plexamp with HI Res files >24/96

Hi

Unless i miss something, i found no way to stream hi res flac files higher than 24/96 with plexamp

  • using chromecas audio as a streamer only to an external dac : limited to 24/96 (and in my case, the CCA spdif is making craklings when connected to my Rega DAC)
  • using CCA as a streamer and a dac : limited to 24/96 and cannot used my Rega DAC :frowning:
  • using Airplay : Can stream to my logitech media server or directly to picoreplayer connected to my dac … but limited to 14/44 (or 48 i do not remember) because od airplay limitation

Any idea … no possibilities ?
I see 3 options :

  • ability to stream audio to upnp devices (like mconnect) … quite a universal solution
  • hope for a new plexamp for rpithat could work on the same rpi as picoreplayer
  • having a plexamp bridge plugin for Logitech media server (as it exists for Airplay and Chromecas bridges)

Following this. I would love to see support for UPnP as this would allow files to be played unfettered and only constrained by the endpoint.
