Plexamp works locally but not over internet

Hi. Plexamp is really struggling to connect over the internet. It works perfectly when I’m at home, but over the internet I get constant loading and then occasional witty “can’t find” errors.

I’ve attempted logout and login, and the homescreen picks up things like “latest added albums” but they won’t actually load.

I’ve installed the latest player download but nothing changed. Even logout and login seems difficult and slow.

I can play audio within a browser without issue. My server says it’s fully accessible from outside the local network. Any ideas what I can do to get Plexamp to work?

It sounds like there’s some sort of connectivity issue, but I’m afraid it’s hard to guess at what it might be.

Hi, what device are you trying to use plexamp over the internet with?

phone/tablet, pc/mac/linux ?

does the regular plex app for your device work over the internet ?
