PlexConnect DNS Windows 10 works bizarre (under Win7 okay, same sources and same instructions used)

Hello community,

after a set of PlexConnect, Plex Media Server and AppleTV3 works fine on a Windows 7 pro, domain member.
I have tried to install it with the same sources on a new fresh **Windows 10 pro, domain member **client for “productive use” at home.

I’m not sure why it works different on Windows 10. I have also use a 1:1 copy from my PlexConnect folder from Win7 Client on the Win10 client, exact the same problem.

Any ideas??

Problem solved, it was a network internal effect.

At home the computer runs fine, cause die DNS access to 8.8.8.8 (google) works. So the program gets faster the second question to trailers.apple.com and don’t run into DNS timeout.

In our company network it is not allowed to access external DNS server, it was my mistake!
Normally it should also solved by changing the “8.8.8.8” entry into PlexConnect’s “settings.cfg” the local DNS server, but it works fine at home, no reason to recheck it here

I’m not sure why it shows this bizarre first name resolution request to “trailers.apple.com.<my.domain>” on a Win10 pro system (not seen on Win7 pro, both systems domain members), but it’s not relevant, it works.
