It doesn't show any info about PlexGDM at all.

This is the 2nd 'installation' of it, moved to another HDD just to try it out.

First time I set it up It all worked good apart from it not being able to play from all my media folders.

I kept getting the "Trailers is unavailable. Try again later." message on these folders.

After some looking around here and googling I found nothing to help me..

I rebooted the computer with Plexconnect & Plex Media Server on.

After that I get this when trying to connect to the webserver locally:

Error response

Error code 403.

Message: Not Serving Client 192.168.1.65.

Error code explanation: 403 = Request forbidden – authorization will not help.

And the HTTPS I can't even access at all. (Http requests are from local, log is not showing access either.)

I've also tried OpenSSL win32 along with Python win32.

Settings.cfg follows:

[PlexConnect]
enable_plexgdm = True
ip_pms = 192.168.170.8
port_pms = 32400
enable_dnsserver = True
port_dnsserver = 53
ip_dnsmaster = 8.8.8.8
prevent_atv_update = True
enable_plexconnect_autodetect = True
ip_plexconnect = 0.0.0.0
hosttointercept = trailers.apple.com
port_webserver = 80
enable_webserver_ssl = True
port_ssl = 443
certfile = ./assets/certificates/trailers.pem
loglevel = High
logpath = .

Edit: I've also tried to set the GDM to a fixed adress, no progress.

Any suggestions ?

>>It doesn't show any info about PlexGDM at all.

PlexGDM is not running before aTV sends the request - meaning you need a working connection (dns, https, certs, ...) before that would happen.

>>And the HTTPS I can't even access at all. (Http requests are from local, log is not showing access either.)

Any firewall blocking port 443?

Nothing is blocking Plexconnect on 443.

"Trailers is unavailable. Try again later." is all I get when I try to open trailers now.

I've generated a new certificate, I've installed that cert to my AppleTV.

First time I set stuff up I got AppleTV to play some stuff on my PMS but not all, some things were still showing. "Trailers is unavailable. Try again later."

Now when I try to start Trailers I get: "Trailers is unavailable. Try again later."

I have tried to recreate everything.

I am considering to start my mac-mini and set it all up on it as my PMS for my AppleTV.

>>Nothing is blocking Plexconnect on 443.

Well, the https: request should give you the same 403 like http - after you acknowledged the cert.

If this isn't the case, there is definitely something blocking port 443.

I have disabled the windows firewall, nothing changed.

I've looked at what could be blocking port 443 but found nothing.

What happens when you reboot the ATV with fixed DNS pointing to your PlexConnect computer ? Does it comes up with all the applications or just with Settings and another one ?

It comes up will all the applications.

So the apple TV is not the issue, the issue seems to be my own computer.

Even with plexconnect turned off I still have some kind of http server running, wwich I find odd. And I need to look at that now.

WHen I turn PMS off I have no access to HTTP, nor HTTPS (With plexconnect offline) If I start Plexconnect I only get port 80 running.

Why port 443 is blocked bothers me, I have allowed port 443 in Windows Firewall.

And it doesn't matter if I turn the Firewall off either.

Tho what really bothers me is that I had access from my apple tv when I first set it all up.

But after my reboot of the PMS/PlexConnect computer it all went further south.

Before that I only got the "Trailers is unavailable. Try again later." message on a too high amount of media files I wanted to play.

No matter what port I set the HTTPS server of PlexConnect to it won't open up a port.

This makes me really curious as to what could be wrong.

Closing down and opening up another thread, for the real issue at hand.
