Do you still have a JB ATV ? Mine still has the original firmware and I cannot use the Blackb0x jailbreak (I don’t have a Mac). No other method seems to be available to JB the atv3.
My problem is that Apple dropped many apps and for the remaining ones changed either its URL or its icon. Are you able to investigate what new URL and icon are being used ? I need to update that info in github.
In my geo only kortv.com seems to be Ok to be hacked, but the icon name has been changed and I’m not able to display the Plex logo.
No, I’m afraid I gave up on the whole PlexConnect and ATV3 mess. The former needed updating but development had stopped I seem to recall, JB’ing the ATV caused other issues and it was never consistent. One day I’d get it to work, then the next time I tried to use it there’d be some, often insurmountable problem. As I said, I gave up and now stick to the ATV4.
It’s a shame as the ATV3 is still a very good device, but Apple have kept it so locked down it’s pretty useless. Even the apps it supposedly comes with mostly don’t work. Apple could have made it a decent music streaming device, but decided to kill it instead.
I still have 3 sitting on the shelf. I should get rid of them as I’ll never use them.
