PlexConnect on Ubuntu Server 13.04, aTV 6.0 playback issues

Hi!

 

I used to have PlexConnect running smoothly before the SSL-updates from Apple. Yesterday I thought I would set up the whole thing from scratch, and it connects to the PMS just fine, and everything except playback is working great! 

 

I think I am having some issues related to transcoding. If Force Direct Playback and Force Transcoding are both disabled, some media isn´t possible to play at all. This is understandable, all the time the aTV has a very limited format support. After enabling Force Transcoding, all media seems to be playable, including 5.1 sound. The thing is, my server cannot transcode fast enough. It comes close to 100% cpu utilization from the very beginning, and the playback on the aTV stops to buffer every 5 seconds or so. My server is loaded with 8GB DDR3 memory and an Intel i5-3570K @ 3.9GHz, and when it is transcoding for two iPads and serving a couple of desktop clients simultaneously I never have this issue.... 

 

Any help to track down this problem is greatly appreciated!!

Have you tried to change the mbit options in Plexconnect it is standard 1080p 40mbit?

Try change it to 4-8 mbit and see if problem persists .
