PlexConnect.py needs to stay on?

Hi,

 

I am working to get my ATV 3 to use my PMS server running.

I am able to get it working off of my laptop which also hosts Plex Media Server but it is not my main server.

Here is my setup..

 

Main PMS local IP: 192.168.1.5

Laptop with PMS IP: 192.168.1.11

ATV3 IP: 192.168.1.2

 

My main question is.. do I need to constantly have the PlexConnect.py running on my main PMS in order for my ATV 3 to fetch the data?

My concerns are.. when my main PMS gets rebooted, do I need to set up a cron job or some sort of task to restart the PlexConnect.py script?

It always needs to be running on a machine, it does not always need to be running on your main PMS machine
