Hi guys,
good news: I checked PlexConnect on the recent Apple TV 7.0 beta 1 (“iOS 8”) and Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite and it still works!
For details see: https://miapple.me/plexconnect-running-apple-tv-7-0-beta-1-mac-os-x-10-10-yosemite/
Cheers!

Can you tell if OpenPlex in my signature works with OSX 10.10?
I’ll have look into it, coming back as soon as possible…
Hi wahlman.j,
very quick impression: OpenPlex (great app!) works so far on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite beta. I can start and stop PlexConnect, insane app! ;-)
However, if I click on 'update PlexConnect' nothing happened... What should happen then?
Anything else to check?
Cheers,
Gee Are
Update only works if a github has been updated by the author. Thanks for testing it for Yosemite.
This is what happens when you click update. The code checks for a update and if it is available it stops PlexConnect via launchctl—>updates the current github—>then starts plexconnect via launchctl otherwise if no update is available it appears nothing has happened in the log or the app itself (since nothing has). Here is the update code:
https://github.com/wahlmanj/PlexConnect/blob/master/update/OSX/update.bash
The reason I stop–>update—>start plexconnect when a update is detected is to prevent errors in during the git pull phase. There is also a autoupdate option in extra options that installs and plist which checks for updates every six hours if you want to check it out as well.
You’re welcome [emoji4] and thanks for the detailed reply!
Thank you for giving this a try. Good to know it still works on the current beta.
They dont normally patch up the known vulnerabilities until after the beta releases bring on fall when ios8 rolls out.
Good to know!
