Apple released a new ATV update today. Anyone from plexconnect team can confirm if it will Still work after updating… ??
I've just taken the plunge and updated my Apple TV 3rd Generation from v6.0 to 6.0.1 and PlexConnect is working perfectly for me.
My setup is:
OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) on mid 2010 27" iMac
Plex Media Center 0.9.8.5.165-c301c50
PlexConnect on same machine as Plex Media Center (the aforementioned iMac) running using sudo ./PlexConnect_daemon.bash (the bash deamon method on OS X)
Tried Movies and TVs in my library, played without issue.
My setup is the same as yours but I only get "Trailers are not available. Please try later" after I started PlexConnect.
I made the change to InstallDir as described by tomeri1749, but I can't figure out which file he means by "In the applescript change the "py" variable to the daemon script". WHAT APPLE SCRIPT???? I have gone through all the files in the PlexConnect directory and nothing is even close....
Please help me by giving clear an understandable description of how to proceed.
It worked just beautifully on ML, Why-Oh Why id I upgrade to Maverick...
This "applescript" thing is not (yet?) included in the git files. It is thrown back and forth here in the forums to get PlexConnect to autostart once MacOS comes up. There are a couple of threads available, have a look!
