Why can it be?

@fanden: Sorry, support of Dvdpedia won’t be added. I don’t own that tool and don’t plan to buy it. And even if I had it, that would be much more work than I ever wanted to put into the PlexDBEditor

it works however the editor crashes everytime I delete a genre, needs to be reopen again everytime

Found the bug, it always crashes if the deleted genre was assigned to more than one movie. I made a quick fix, could you please try if it works?
How does this application work? do we need to do anything than run it???
There is no data in the dialog??
Just wanted to ask if "the dialog is empty" is what happens to you ;) That mean's the database can't be found. Actually a popup should appear, but there was a small bug... I just fixed that.
The editor is looking for the file **~/Library/Application Support/Plex/userdata/Database/MyVideos34.db**. Could you please check if that file exists in your case?
oups, unfortunately I can't try it anymore, I've cleaned it up already...464 movies :-)
deleted all the genres and put added the ones I wanted, in my language :-)

Does Plex use that information somewhere? I knew that it's stored in the database, but have no idea where it is displayed. So I thought it's not necessary...
Some skins can show it instead of the full summary (which will be shown when pressing i)
(for instance the Rapier skin)
PleaAeon shows it as well.
Okay, will be added in the next version. But that maybe will take a while, I don’t work on it until Plex 0.9 is out.
