Plexify discussion

Nice @stoffez

I think though, with Plexify and Zenon, Zenon might be the product of a completely re-written objective C based alternative to PlexConnect. It might even have eliminated the need for Python to be installed on the system altogether.

Not many devs have the stones to write/create from scratch; hence it’s taking time/testing before release.

Personally prefer Plexify 1.0 (Can’t seem to find it yet) which is without any remote control features and a simple way to just see if PlexConnect is running and update/restart securely by entering the password in the prompt every time, instead of the keychain open root dilemma as in Plexify 1.1 Beta and 1.1 RC.

PlexConnect Daemon is my current favorite.

Author of Plexify does not seem to have Plexify 1.0 with him, I asked :/ , he kindly replied :)

With solutions like openconnect, this beta app and more it'll be absolutely stupid to re-write script that does exactly what plexconnect does. It'll not be great and full of features like plexconnect in 2 days .. And plexconnect is open code so keeping plexify using plexconnect is absolutely possible ..

Or you make your own app like we did
