Plexify discussion

I’m not arguing. I just like that my plexconnect will auto update on its own until the end of time with no user intervention.

I have a secure terminal free guided automatic or manual updating plexconnect feature that is an app, yes as well as a remote control feature as well to control plexconnect and the Mac OS. What does it have to do with posting in this topic? I have nothing against plexify other then it exposing root which is not secure for anyone's mac. It could use some help in the updating department but hopefully he can fix these issues in future builds if and when he finishes devolpment. I do a lot for the community like making plexconnect work on jailbroken ios devices and also creating easier ways to install plexconnect on jailbroken appletv2's among many other things in my signature as well as providing support to plexconnect users on my free time. What have you done for the plexconnect community lately?

Sorry my lord i will never post again thanks to you.

Try to keep on topic.

Why are you lying? I have used Plexify1.1 since it´s release on OS X Mavericks and it´s VERY easy to use and never crashed.

So stop spreading lies.

First of all when it's on (My case plexconnect needs to be always on) you can't  use console's log cause it's saying same line about root all the time if plexify running.

Second of all, some have serious bugs and some not. In my case, Plexify made plexconnect crash after something about 40 Hours since launched.

I'm not complaning, just saying it's BETA so people should know they might have bugs before they are doing all of the guide ..

By stopping Plexify and Plexconnect, move certs, copy the new version of Plexconnect over the old, move back certs.
Works for me every time.

Just stop plexify, right click on Plexconnect-folder, open folder in terminal and make git pull! Its a better way then always backup, delete and download..

.

I created a app that seemed to fix the issue in the original plexify topic. But it was just a workaround and I’m not sure if it works for the plexify 1.1rc. Its a bit involved but seemed to work when I used it to keep root secure. I mean how many workarounds does this need? Im going to stick to other ways to install plexconnect but thats me. I don’t like workarounds, I want to just click a app and go. I only design and use apps that don’t expose root. I like my os to be secure.

Wait...

we need an App to fix an issue in a beta to a Helper App, that is meant to be released "real soon" since - what - January?

I don't want to sound too harsh/negative/add what you want... but this seems somewhat ridiculous, doesn't it?

:-D

Hey,

Anyone have the original PlexifyAPP 1.0 with them? Pl. share.

I could find the Plexify 1.1 Beta http://cl.ly/0f2V3t243C2W but not the original PlexifyAPP 1.0

Thanks.

Why don't you ask the developer?

Has anyone tried to run Plexify with Apple TV 6.1 firmware?

does the current 1.1 RC work with it?

Plexify is a helper application, it does not actually communicate with the ATV, so as long as plexconnect works on a ATV version plexify should (understanding of the existing plexify issues as previously documented by users)

So to direct answer yor question. Yes plexconnect works with 6.1 so plexify will

Thank you for the quick response.
Let me ask this question, in order to run PlexConnect with Apple TV 6.1, is there any update required or any config change required. considering the fact that i am still running the initial config that i had setup when i installed Plexify with Apple TV running 6.0.2.
Any guidance will be much appreciated, before i upgrade my Apple TV from 6.0.2 to 6.1.

No changes needed
