PMS is running on a QNAP NAS. The NAS creates a Recycle Bin folder named @Recycle. The media scanner picks up shows in the Recycle Bin, processes them for intros and credits, and adds them to the Library.
I have two .plexignore files, one in root of the Library and one in the @Recycle folder:
[/TVShows] $ cat .plexignore
@Recycle/*
@Recently-Snapshot/*
.@upload_cache/*
.*/*
[/TVShows] $ cd \@Recycle/
[/TVShows/@Recycle] $ cat .plexignore
*
*/*
Folder structure of the Recycle Bin mimics the library itself, so as episodes get deleted they appear in there as @Recycle/<show name>/Season <#>/<file name>. What I end up seeing in the Library is episodes I know were deleted are still present and when I click on ‘Get Info’ the ‘Media Info’ dialog shows a path that includes /@Recycle/.
When I add <show name>/* to the .plexignore in the @Recycle folder, those episodes disappear.
My guess is that the @ is interfering with the .plexignore’s ability to ignore causing the * and */* to not include the entries that contain such a character.
