I am trying to create music libraries
I have placed a .plexignore file in some folders I wish to be ignored.
I have completed this exactly as specified, it is a file that has a . at the beginning, and no extension after plexignore. My computer is configured not to hide known file types, there’s no hidden .txt at the end. I know what I’m doing.
Despite the .plexignore file existing in some folders, when creating a library, it’s just going right on and adding the unwanted content in these folders with the .plexignore file in them.
Online documentation is still specifying that this .plexignore file will cause plex to ignore a folder, but I can tell you this most definitely doesn’t work.
Either this needs to be fixed, or online documentation needs to be updated with the correct process/syntax for ignoring files in music libraries.
