.plexignore wildcards

Will wildcards work when not the first character? All of the examples only show it as the first character in the string.

Basically, I want to ignore all folders beginning with a tilde. This is what I am trying.

~*\*

That should work. Have you tried?

Yes. I think it did work. It is just hard to tell if the items were removed from the library.
