Hmm, user switch should work if you navigate to Video Addons → PlexKodiConnect → Log out user XYZ. As always, please enable debug logging in the PKC settings, then share your log. See How to Report A Bug · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub

I am answering here for others who might have a similar question ;-).

If you only have ONE Plex home user, that user will automatically be logged in again if you log out. This behavior is by design :-). The PKC setting “log user off” is for switching the Plex home user only.

Concerning your idea of distributing Kodi with PKC to your friends - what you want is to delete your Plex credentials, settings and cache entirely before copying your Kodi setup for your friends. Otherwise they could pose as you and abuse your Plex login

  • Go to the PKC Settings, Advanced, then hit the red Reset Kodi database and PKC settings. Then hit 3x Yes. This will reset PKC entirely.
  • kodi will then reboot. Try to NOT start up Kodi again at this point. Otherwise, PKC will generate a new unique PKC id for Plex. You want this to happen on your friends computers! (otherwise you would copy this not-so-unique id to all your friends computers)
  • Copy Kodi for your friends
  • your friends simply need to sign in with their respective Plex.tv accounts.
  • your PMS will show up for your friends to connect to remotely
  • Should you have botched the unique Plex ID part, your friends could fix it now by going to the PKC Settings, Advanced, Generate new unique device id
