Seems like there is an old PKC setting Kodi doesn’t like. Try to completely reset PKC: go to the PKC Settings, Advanced, Reset the Kodi database (in red), hit Yes, Yes, and Yes to reset PKC completely. Thanks for reporting back whether it worked or not
Sorry, you’ll have to wait a bit for more feedback. The Kodi Leia-version I used on my wetek hub was terribly buggy and crashed about every five minutes (not related to PKC I think). Went back to Krypton for now.

As expected the 60Mbps file played fine via Plex & PKC on my Vero 4k but the rest of the files stuttered (90Mbps in places, 120 & 140Mbps unwatchable).
I just read that the vero 4k only has a 100mbit port. USB 2 is really not an issue here. It can reach up to 300mbits easily. I urge you to try upnp / webdav before doing any changes to your setup. Find out if your NAS supports webdav/upnp and do a test using those! Here the difference in speed was HUGE from SMB/NFS!
Also make your readahead buffer 1-2 while using upnp/webdav.
Hello. I’m using PlexKodiConnect on my shield.
On my Plex server, I sorted all my movies.
For example, The Hobbit. On my server, I managed/edit the movie to sort by “The Hobbit”. Don’t ask me why, but I manually did that for it. So now it’s listed in the “T” section.
When I’m in Kodi and using PKC to browse my movies, I see “The Hobbit” listed in the “H”’ section.
I have scanned/resynced my library and it is still showing up in the T’s.
Do I have to manually edit/manage the movie title in PKC as well?
Shouldn’t it be sorted in the “T” section in PKC since I did that on my server?

In Kodi, under ‘Settings - Appearance’ there’s an option ‘Ignore articles when sorting’
If you disable this option, it should sort the way you want.

Is this working for anyone, because it is not working here on LibreELEC 8.2.1?

It works here… Maybe this Kodi setting is dependent on your Kodi language? So if your movie names are English and your Kodi interface language is something else, Kodi might get confused.
I have a problem with the kodia L*** nightly not working with PKC. Not sure if its even worth posting about alpha software but curious if anyone else is having problems on a shield. The library doesn’t show the most recent additions, it shows movies but not the most recent movies added before updating kodi. If I downgrade to kodi build on nov-22 it works fine but anything after that doesn’t. Tried rebuilding the pkc database.

Sorry, the problem is indeed that Kodi 18 Leia is still in an alpha state…

that’s possible, but I use interface language english and the movies have english titles. something must be wrong with my settings… I’ll look further

Is there a way to exclude a specific library from sync? I couldn’t find it in the settings, but I use the native library for my 3D movies in Kodi in order to bring in the ISO MVC ones that Plex can’t suppot. This causes my non-MVC ones to be duplicated between PKC and Kodi. I need the library on my Plex server so that I can access the non-MVC files on my upstairs TV, but I want to hide/disable that library on my main Pi.

Sorry if this has been asked, but I checked the wiki and attempted a thread search. Are there any optimal recommended sync settings for plexkodiconnect on the shield? Kodi definitely seems to stutter during playback when pkc is doing a library update/sync from time to time. I dropped the sync threads down to 1 some time ago but the problem persists. This has happened for quite a while across spmc, kodi, spmc 17 alpha. On my htpc this is never an issue it always flies so I figure it’s a setting.

PKC should NOT be doing a sync while you watch something and even interrupt any sync if you start playback. It’s very likely another issue you’re having, unrelated to PKC.
Hi a quick question. I have 2 x Shield which this plugin works very nicely for, but am still considering an AppleTV 4k with the new update it gives some good possibilities. Would it in the future be possible to make a plexinfuseconnect? I’m not into the apple world but am not satisfied with the missing options in Shield.

What options are missing from ShieldTV outside of iTunes? (Which is covered in the us with movies Anywhere). If anything ShieldTV has a thousand more options… Kodi, spmc, HD audio, headphones plug on the controller, usb storage…

Yeah if your interested in something like PKC then the Apple TV is one of the last streamers you should be considering.
