Update (happy days!): For some reason, I was able to get everything working using an SD card instead of a USB stick. Not sure why, but will go with that for now. Did not see anything indicating “not exiting nicely” so far.
Still gonna try to put it all on a USB stick instead of using the SD card.
Update #2 - All previous posts can be ignored, looks like everything is all set (and working with the USB stick - not sure what changed, but I’m going with it. . .)
Only question I have now has to do with “won’t exit nicely” - I have not seen that happen yet, though is there something for which I should be concerned? I now have it on a Pi with LibreELEC, not really planning on shutting down unless there is an overriding reason or need.
If no real concern going forward, no need to reply. Just really happy that it’s working now.
Hello all. Just found out about this add-on after reading in the PM4K forum, which I am currently using. While I like PM4K and it works flawlessly, it is kind of lifeless when compared to Kodi with all the various skinning options.
I am wondering how many here used PM4K and have switched to PKC and have been happy with it overall. I will be using this primarily on my TCL google TV. Thanks
Hi croneter, I’m using PKC on a Ugoos AM6B running AVDVPLUS R9 build. Everything is working beautifully, except playing extras from the featurettes of a movie is kind of glitchy. I have them stored in a folder named ‘featurettes’ in the same folder as the movie, and access them with the options button on the remote. When I choose one from the list, it doesn’t play. I press play again, and then it starts, but I get the message “one or more items refused to play,” and hitting the ‘ok’ button gets rid of the message but stops the file from playing. At this point, I press play for the third time, and then the thing plays.
I don’t know if this is a PKC thing, or Kodi or CoreELEC, but I thought I’d ask you.
Reseting the Kodi database cleared up the problem. Thx for the link suggesting that. I bought you a coffee for your trouble. Keep up the good wirk with PKC!
