PlexKodiConnect: Kodi Plex Integration Done Right

Thanks for the update @croneter!

So what exactly happens now when i turn off background sync via settings? Does it mean that changes won’t get synced anymore? Or only at restart?

BTW - Resnyced the whole library and got no error or freeze! Everything synced correctly in a by.

  • Season Artwork is still missing
  • Changes from PMS → PKC are not synced instantly (only on restart)

Same issue for me == pops up a screen with my 2 Plex Home accounts but can’t log in to either. Log attached. Thanks!

Good to hear!

Background sync turned off means that you really need to either restart or do a manual full sync to get new items or a changed viewing progress from your PMS . it should help if you experience high CPU usage constantly.
Background: as far as I know, there is no way to get the “PMS server time”. This makes incremental sync a pain… I will look into it.

Wierd. Please install the latest 1.0.3 from just now if you haven’t already done that. The reset everything with Settings → advanced → Reset DB (full resync). Then choose 3x yes

Still getting “failed to authenticate. Did you login to plex tv?” error with version 1.0.3

hi dspayne1,

did you try to use an inital pin for the user at the PMS?
set home pin (lock sign) to inital helps for me.

If YOU still manage to crash the library sync, I’m looking forward to have a look at your logs.

Hi,

Please find in private message logs
It is still crashing with 1.0.3.

I don’t have access to the local PMS, it’s a shared server.

How about On Deck @croneter? Will that not update itself when you’ve finished watching a TV episode and are ready to watch the next one?

That does not work because it will only give you the latest items that were added to your PMS. It won’t work for e.g. watch status or if you changed an existing PMS item.

BTW - Is it too early for a donate button? I don’t think so!
I’d be more than happy to support your efforts @croneter! :!!

By the way - very kind of you :-). Ain’t necessary yet. Maybe I’ll be bugging you later :stuck_out_tongue:

Tried, no dice, same error about logging in with user. Attached a new log with what I think were the relevant sections.

@croneter With 1.0.3 I can finally start syncing, thanks

But, it seems to crash on Danish special characters like (Æ Ø Å)?

Edit: It also crashes on the “!” sign.

Installed 1.0.3 and turned off the constant sync option. Restarted Kodi and CPU utilization is still very high. Comparison screen shots attached if it means anything. Also that is seems to be sucking up memory like crazy

Should not do that. Logs please

By the way - interested in translating to Dutch?

OS you are using?

Kodi loads the pictures in the background - this might take minutes or even hours, AFTER the sync seems finished. Did you wait long enough? Again - logs
