I need some help building my plex server. I live in the Netherlands, atm all harddrive are full 12tb of media and need to increase it to 5x10tb probably, but go up easy.
Build atm
Case: Corsair Obsidian 1000D
Motherboard: X570 Gigabyte Xtreme
CPU: 3900x
CPU Corsair Hydro Series H150i Pro RGB XT 360mm
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB Black 16GB DDR4-4000 CL19 kit
Graphics Card: Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Xtreme 10GB
Storage Drive: 1TB&2TB MP600 and 5x4tb of Seagate IronWolf Pro.
PSU: corsair 1200I corsair
Plenty of case fans
Running windows 10.
The main question i want to sell my old nas and build a new 1 in this Corsair 1000D case.
My plan was to use this, for the 10Gbe.
Motherboard: ASRock Rack X570D4I-2T
CPU swap from main system 3900x and replace it with a 5900x or 5950x.
Memory 64gb ECC or non-ECC.
Storage: Seagate IronWolf 510 960GB and 5x Seagate IronWolf Pro 10TB.
How many transcoding would i do with this setup, or do i need a GPU? I only need 2 streams for a TV 4k and Tablet.
If a GPU is needed, what would the minimal requirement be?
Now would this be a good system to be future proof for atleast 5 years?
Is there anything im missing?
Can i increase anything on this system to improve performance?
