This may sound like an idiotic question but I can’t seem to find the latest Plexwatch/web version. I see v1.5.4.2 here: https://github.com/ecleese/plexWatchWeb but i know there are later dev releases that enable https support, perhaps.
When looking @ that page, there’s a combo named “Branch” that says “master”
The developer branch can be selected there…
If it supports https or not I however do not know, since I don’t use it my-self

Then I suspect you when saying “I know” was wrong here
