I have been using PMS for many years now. (local only)
For the last years none of my Android devices (mobile) can find my PMS. It has worked in the past. If i connect through Chrome and Web. It works fine.
Both my Ipad and their IOS-apps also works fine. Same goes for my PC with Chrome and windows 7.
Also I have a pre-Tizen samsung TV with 3rd party app. This works as well (except that I need to delete and add the server entry each time i start it)
Yesterday I bought an Apple TV, hoping it would work flawless as the Ipads. Unfortunately, it could not connect to my server either. I can log in and it detects my servername, but no connection.
I do not think it is network/IP-related since it works fine through WEB.
My question is: what is the differences of connecting through APP vs WEB if any?
Any suggestions? I have tried the most during the last years, and scanned the forums.
I would really like to use PLEX more and get a lifetime pass, but with my problems I think I am forced to change to another system.
