Just wanted to thank you for keeping Plex for Kodi working. I currently use it with Kodi 18.5 on my Nvidia Shield. Since Plex has been releasing such buggy releases for Android TV, I really rely on this addon as it always works.

was using this addon (plex-for-kodi-kodi19.zip) several months with Kodi 19 daily builds. But since a couple days I get the following error message:

the dependency on xbmc.python version 2.25.0 could not be satisfied.

Any suggest how to solve this ?

Kodi19 compat should be fixed, updated the Python dependency. Please redownload the branch(es).

I dowloaded plex-for-kodi-kodi19 again, with the latest kodi nightly

Hasn’t Kodi19 stopped support for any 2.x Python ?

Interesting. I’ve now killed the combined Kodi1819 branches and separated them.

Kodi 18 still has 2.26.0 support, 19 doesn’t. See the OP for the links to the branches.

This fixes the Problems that kodi cant transcode with new Server versions.

Btw. I cant install the addon with Kodi19. I tried a little bit around and it needs to be 3.0.0 not only 3 in addon.xml :slight_smile:

All branches should now be updated to reflect the correct dependencies.
MKV transcoding has been fixed. Seems like a Plex bug or breaking change.

Transcoding doesn’t work for me on Kodi 18.6, while ruuk’s update works.

We have great activity here - can we go a bit further and make profile for Kodi Addon?

Have an issue with latest Kodi18 develop version - cannot set time position, confirming it does nothing, movie just go from where it was going.
Reinstall to 0.1.6 shows no issues.
Android 9.0 - Kodi 18.6

Mne seems to work fine, Kodi 18.6, Corelec 9.2.1 with the zip from ruuk’s post. Resumes fine. Stopped and started items on 2 different boxes, both same versions, both resume fine.

I installed Kodi Matrix 19.0 HDR Edition over relase 18 version, and this plex plugion over the one from Kodi repo. Got some errors, had to manually install modules “six” and “kodi-six”, but got it working.
I noticed, previously when seeking (pressing left or right), thumbnail would appear and I could find the part i wanted thru the thumbnails and go to it by pressing enter.
Now thumbnails appear only on pressing up (using big-seek steps) and seeking by small steps left/right jumps straight to the time almost immediatelly, doesn’t wait for enter.
Is that how it’s supposed to be? Could I change this beheviour somewhere, or at least the delay after it jumps to the time?

Yes, you can change that behaviour. Most of the things I’ve added are configurable by going to the addon’s settings outside of the addon.

I tried develop_kodi19 branch on alpha libreelec for Allwinner SOC, but it hangs as soon as you select some series to play (not actual playing, but the screen just before playing an episode). This does not happen with kodi19 branch.

I can second the error on develop_kodi19. Running Kodi 19.0 Matrix HDR Windows API v3.3.0, it opens the splash screen but never loads the movie. kodi19 works like a charm.
