0.8.0-beta11.4: script.plexmod.zip (3.0 MB)

  • Core: Expand likely dulby atms detection to EAC3 640kbps
  • Core: Path mapping: unify getMappedPathFor
  • Core: Theme music: Fix traceback when path mapping is disabled for a library

You’re as fast as a rocket.

We all thank you so much for that! (-:

Very cool. Thx.

Now, to get picky
Plex Web (as well as other Plex player software uses a fade out effect on theme music. That is, because with their own themes, they are only allowed to provide 30 seconds of audio (for free), so the music is fading out to give a better user experience if avoiding a hard cut.

Normally, this is not necessary for local assets, but using the “grandparentTheme” parameter (mntioned before in another post), you probably get also the theme music provided by Plex.

Oh, cool. Will test it tonight. Thank you very much, @panni

Nope, tested this. After placing theme.mp3 and refreshing the show in question, it uses the file provided. GrandparentTheme is btw nothing new and we’ve been using it forever. It’s just a shortcut to the grandparent’s (the TV show of an episode) theme property.

@panni Thank you for your continuous (and fantastic) work on this add-in! I was wondering if it is possible to have the hubs for each library not be merged if it is the same media type? On the server side the “Merge Recently Added Items” is unchecked, and I tried toggling the “use new continue watching hub” to no avail. I’m running the latest Beta and this is the last bit of functionality that is missing for me

My use case is that I have a “Weekly TV Shows” library where I watch shows and then delete. I also have a “TV Shows” library that I keep separate that doesn’t get deleted.

The existing implementation combines both into one hub.

Is there anything that can be done on the add in to support separate hubs for the same media type?

Thank you again.
This worked with the connected original BT remote.
It did not work with the CEC remote from the TV (no long press available).

But that’s okay for me right now. I configured the hubs and libraries according to my taste.

The action is CONTEXT_MENU. You can bind that action to buttons so you don’t have to use long press. It’s just by default set to long press, which is why I always tell people to use long press OK/ENTER for ease of use.

Yeah, once we rewrite how the hubs are handled. I want this to be fully dynamic, but for that, I’d like a vertical library menu as well. Will take time, though.

Understood @Panni. Vertical library would be awesome as well. Thanks for responding!

Hi all,

I set up my new Ugoos 6amb+ following this tutorial:

It explicitely says to use th latest stable build of CE and PM4K:

latest GENERIC stable release here (use Amlogic NG arm)

  1. Now navigate to the add-on installer, and install from repository. You should see the “Don’t Panic” repository now. Install PM4K and the Plexuary skin

which ld m to use v21.1.2 of CE and v0.79rev4 of PM4K which I already put to EMMC of my Ugoos device.

Now, I am finding out that everybody else is using (at least) the latest CPM (14) and v0.80beta of PM4K.

How to update or autoupdate from official CE release to latest CPM? Do I need to start from scratch or is there an in-place update procedure? If it would spam this thread, then please be so kind to send me a DM.

And how about PM4K? How to get from DoNotPanic to latest beta? Can I somehow auto-update?

Thank you for helping me with that.

Yes. Install one of the latest beta zips from this thread and it will auto update once you set the update channel to “Beta” in the settings.

Cool. What do you mean with “install”? Where to place it? Unzip it?

However you like. The easiest option is to just get it on your box’s storage (via SMB or LocalSend for example), then install it from zip file using the kodi addon manager.

Would you please add collection support on the homescreen hub like plex apps? Recently Released, Recently Added, Recently Watched, and other collections if added

How do I remove an no longer life Plex server from PM4K?
I have a new server and removed the old Plex server from my Plex account but it still shows up in PM4K.
Already rebooted but it’s still showing.

Sign out and sign in.
It did the trick on mine

Hello @panni good morning, did you see this, just to confirm so it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Skimmed through the logs: This looks like a specific sleep/wakeup issue. Seems like after wakeup you don’t immediately have internet access.

Can you try something like this

and see if it changes anything?

Your log is full of network related errors.

I use it this way, I no longer have problems waking up like before, this specific error only happens when during playback I hold the back button to go home, then I can continue using the normal plex, but if I try to exit PM4K the PM4K crashes.
I wouldn’t have this error at all if I didn’t long-press back during playback, but it’s addictive to be able to go straight to the home page without having to wait to exit playback lol
