This sounds like a DNS rebind issue. Is it fixed with beta4.3?

That does fix it, cheers.

Nah, for Ugoos beta4.2 it’s a keeper . Does exactly what it’s supposed to.

No issue here with 4.2 on ugoos either

Ok, some hiccups happening after this latest ā€œrevertā€ to beta 4.1 - when resuming, having some back and forth of the video. Strange. Didn’t happen to any previous betas

That would be great, thank you very much.

Damn, that’s awesome, thanks a lot!

I just briefly tested 1.1.3-beta4.2, and it works. Thank you very much.

Not sure if possible or not but would be nice if the post play screen for next episode of a show could be pre-loaded or cached so to speak so that there’s less loading after an episode. Sometimes it takes around 5-10 seconds to load the preplay countdown if the server is remote. Perhaps when the skip outro option appears?

Hmm, still gotta decide on the beta4.2 test logic. It’s a possibly disruptive ā€œhackā€ and it doesn’t seem stable everywhere. Might be a no-go, even though it seems to work for some people.

Perhaps I’ll reimplement it but set the AddonSetting by default to off.

Hmm. We tend to not do anything that could impact the playback experience during playback. I’ll have to think about this.

Just for your information, on my OSMC setup the ā€œhackā€ worked fine for me with no obvious issues.
I ended up turning it off in the add-on settings though, because I prefer PM4K without the little initial glitch it introduced and I don’t really notice the problem it’s supposed to work around anyway.

Same here. No point in the extra glitch

I did not find it in the settings, but maybe I overlooked. Is there a way to remove the title text under posters in the views? I am using posters from posterizarr and removing the title would improve the view.

Nope that’s not possible right now.

1.1.3-beta4.4: script.plexmod.zip (3.2 MB)

Changelog:

  • Home: Resolve old fixme for update exit event
  • Core: Ensure we’re updating our lastused value by running our plugin endpoint with a stub value after exiting
  • Plugin-Endpoint: Support stub-run
  • Core: Do not update lastused value when ran from plugin endpoint initially
  • Settings: Add ā€œEnsure Kodi Addon positionā€ (default: On)

Second try. This should be good.

@Coolnes this should fix your issue.

With this approach we ā€œpingā€ the plugin/program endpoint of our addon after exiting. There’s still a blip, but currently it’s the only way. If you guys don’t want that, simply disable the setting (it’s now inside PM4K’s main settings).

@bettsie86 please test if this works for you as well!

Have just installed/tested the new beta. Everything worked fine, the new ā€œglitchā€ is way more acceptable occuring as it does after exit, but (at least in my case) something is amiss with the Watchlist now. When i enter it, it’s populated only by empty grey unnamed rectangles, which cannot be accessed. I have restarted (not rebooted) Kodi twice (right after installing the update and after finding the bug), but got the same result.

Yep, all good for me too. Thanks

I do have the same watchlist issue as mentioned above now.

1.1.3-beta4.4b: script.plexmod.zip (3.2 MB)

Changelog:

  • Watchlist: Adhere to new plex.tv watchlist limit of 100 items (was: 300; unannounced)

Yep. Unannounced change by our friendly Pleximan!

Edit: The fix will be backported to 1.0.5 stable later tonight.

Edit 2: Did I break the updater with beta4.4b? I’ll investigate Nope, all good.

All good so far, thanks a lot!
