The latest PMP (on Win10) now lags a second or so whenever I tell it to skip using the left/right arrow keys. Before this version, using an arrow key would seek immediately. I tested a PMP on the same computer as my PMS, and one on a computer elsewhere on my local network and they’re both the same. Looks like it might have been an intentional change, but I really find it annoying. Even more strange, using up/down arrow keys avoids the delay (though it has a UI glitch that was already reported elsewhere). One case where it messes up pretty badly is near the end of a video – if I press left arrow several times in a row while it continues to play instead of skipping, it can play off the end of the video and never act on any of the left-arrow inputs.
Hi,
Yes this build has certainly broken skipping
30 and 10 sec
10 min
Just to clarify
I think it works but the progress bar don’t keep up
So it feels like its lagging
Nup its laggy, recorded TV .ts is worse
I’m finding the same thing, I thought maybe I had broken something, but after testing it seems to have a skip delay setting enabled somewhere, it’s less than a second, but it makes the whole application feel old and sluggish.
I spent a while digging around, but can’t find anywhere to change the setting (I used to be able to change this setting in Kodi)
Is this a feature or a bug? and if it’s a feature you need to allow users to change the delay, if it’s a bug hopefully they can fix it soon.
Same behavior here
Came searching as I’m having the same issue.
I reverted back to the previous version and it’s working fine again:
I have turned off automatic updates in the meantime.
Same here, it’s much less responsive than previous versions.
Also, when you press the button to skip to the next episode, the first time you select the button nothing happens, you need to press twice.
