PMP for Windows 7 no longer launches (after recent update)

Running on: Raspbian

Plex Media Player version: 2.20.0.909-46413dd1 build date: 2018-10-02
Running on: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1) [6.1.7601] arch x86_64

Web Client version 3.67.1

PMP no longer works following yesterday’s install of the most recent updates to both the server & PMP.

PMP shows as a running process (in Windows Task Manager) but does not launch.

OTOH the web client is fine…

I am not sure of the significance but when tested (after both installs) all was well: it was only after the computer used for the PMP was restarted this morning that the problem reared its head.

  1. Disabled anti-malware etc.
  2. Reinstall prevented 'cos the version (of PMP) installed > version available (on plex.tv)

EDIT: Ran a “Repair” from the latest download for Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit) version 2.20.0.909-46413dd1 dated October 3, 2018. Plex still refuses to lauch.

EDIT2: After running the Fix Windows Update Issues tool PMP launched successfully. Hopefully this isn’t Murphy screwing with me :grinning:
