I feel like I’m dumb or blind or both cause I keep seeing all these forums telling people to go change settings in the Settings/Video,or Audio and my versions of Plex do not have them!???
Can someone please help me understand why I don’t have these options?
The reason is I am running a Plex server and use Chrome Plex Web or PMP(which seems to be literally the same exact set up as web to me) to watch things and the audio is appalling. It blips and crackles and lags within 1 minute of watching anything until it’s off by seconds. So I’m trying to find a fix and like I mentioned, everyone keeps saying oh, just go into the settings and turn on or off DTS or AC3 or Dolby… But I don’t have these settings…
I’m at the end of my rope here. I used to use Plex on my Sony bravia… but they changed Opera to VEWD and removed the app. Great. So I’m left with streaming from PC through HDMI to TV to Receiver(optical) with either Web or PMP, but neither of those things work. lol
So really at this point Plex doesn’t work for me at all and the only real option I have to watch something with synced audio video is VLC.
That doesn’t make me happy(you can probably tell…)
I liked Plex. I just wish it worked.
