Last month (or two) my pmp2 (qpkg 2.9.0) use all my RAM (NAS QNAP HS-251+) when I want to watch video. I can use MUSIC / PHOTO - it is still great, but when I go to VIDEO - I have “THE END” (RAM = 95% and NAS doesn’t answer).
I like pmp2 because of “pathtrue audio” to my reciever. What should I do? I can’t download new versions of pmp2 in corresponding NAS forum Philippe.

Also if you can a screen capture of htop (Entware) or top … to see if another program don’t eat memory

I don’t have any idea … I never reproduce this on my own QNAP (TS-x53 Pro and TVS-x73)
I can only suggest you to move to myKD QPKG … the new QPKG include PMP 0.20 or + and use a TOTALLY isolated Ubuntu 18.04 inside QTS (the QNAP’s firmware) … so all trouble linked to HD_Station (under QNAP responsibility) is reduced to the minimum.
myHD use always HD_Station for X display and mouse and keyboard … nothing more.
So for user (like me or you) all applications in myHD appear as if they run in HD_Station … so the user interface is not changed.
I have try to reread your screen capture and problem seem attached to Plex server … that eat all your memory … so if PMP is oblige to swap … not sure result is as you can expect ???

include in an Ubuntu 16.04 environment BUT using Asustor Asportal windows manager
For QNAP … due to the recovery by QNAP’s support team member of Applications like Kodi and PlexMediaPlayer … no more version will be delivered out of this direct support.
