PMS 1.0 - no resume playback, not marking anything as watched?

Hi there
I updated to PMS 1.0.0.2261 last night and am noticing a few odd behaviours.

  • nothing I watch is being marked as watched (via PlexMediaPlayer or OpenPHT). I can do so manually, however
  • if I don’t finish a movie or tv ep, and go back later, there is no longer a resume option
  • playlists not working
    Searching the forums I’ve found bits and pieces under AppleTV, RasPlex, and Windows - and it’s happening for me on MacMini. So I think it may be an OS-agnostic issue with PMS 1.0. However, there is no post about 1.0 in the release announcements section, and I can’t find a post or official notification of the release or known bugs anywhere, so just wondering if many others are having the same issues?

Fix for OpenPHT will be released hopefully tomorrow.

Plex Inc have changed the way the PMS is validated, this has been fixed.

I had the same problem on PHT. will the fix to plex home service rectify this problem?

The fix in OpenPHT will fix the problem, release out tomorrow hopefully.

I have the same issue, and I’m also using Plex Home Theater. Is this a server-fix thereby making PHT work also, or is the fix made for the specific clients?

All of the issues caused by PMS 1.0.0 have now been fixed in the new release of OpenPHT (PHT will not be fixed) see https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/222972/release-openpht-1-6-2

If I understand OpenPHT does not work on windows 7 or vista

Should work OK on Windows 7, not sure about Vista, does anybody still use that?

Went to download and it said the app is not supported 8 and 10. I also noticed it do not support DTS sound. I have windows 7

I have a Home Nas with a NUC ( i7 3.1 with 16g ram HDMI) at my TV to play my movies. I use PHT to play them. Is OpenPHT gonig to work the same.
