PMS 1.14.1.5488 Crashing frequently on Windows

Well, so far so good. I have been running it since this post a week ago and it has not crashed a single time since!

Thanks!

I’ve had some crashing issues also but on Ubuntu. Would I start a separate thread for this? Is it possible to work directly with you without the forum?

if you post a new topic and link to it from here i will pick it up. You can cross refer to this topic from there as well

Support is through the forum

48+ hours now on version 1.15.1.686 and everything is working great.

No crashes, the memory has leveled and remained constant.

@Wang.Chung.Plex @wyldemusick Yout posts and my replies have been moved into a 1.15.0.xxx topic as this one was for crashes on 1.14.1

OK, so I created a separate instance of PMS on a Linux server which has been running fine until the last few days when it refuses to update the EPG (crashes out at about 12%). I’ve upgraded PMS to 1.15.0.659 but the problem continues. I didn’t see any reference in the release notes for PMS 1.15.0 about fixing the EPG problem (this was also a problem with my Windows 7 installation.) What should I do now to get the EPG refreshing again?

The fix is now released in the official beta release 1.15.1.707
Please update the development build to this version

See release note for details of changes

  • (DVR) Scheduler would use large amounts of memory with many recordings scheduled. (#9050)

1.15.1.707 successfully installed. Thank you!

Crashes out ? Logs please.

Further to my earlier reply. This forum thread is about process crashes and is about windows and is for version 1.14.5488. What you are referring to is none of that

Separate forum topic please and with logs and details of when it got stuck and crashed out

Thanks sa2000, yes, I’ll start a new thread. But the issue is exactly the same as what I was having with my Windows setup. When I removed the DVR from the Windows setup (and thus no more EPG refreshes) the crashes ended and PMS has operated flawlessly to serve media. I just can’t record with it. And now my Linux setup which I created to do the recording has come up with the same symptoms minus the frequent crashes of PMS. The image below shows the console after the most recent crash.

Please always include the full logs
What do you mean by crash ? Did the Plex media server process disappear and relaunch ?
I see you are getting 502 errors - is that happening every time?
