Server Version#:1.43.0.10162 windows
Player Version#:roku ultra 14.6 with plex app version 8.6
Transcoder crashes when starting playback for a specific video to a roku client. All other client playback is fine.
I can provide server debug logging in a PM if needed.

<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>
Try installing Plex server into the default location for apps on drive C.
No, this will not cause the location of the plex data folder to change.
Sorry if I didn’t explain the issue clearly. With a specific video file attempting to playback on Roku I get a conversion failed. The transcoder process crashed. All other videos and playback clients have no issues so far.
Please.
What is your K:
drive? Does it have enough space?
That drive has plenty of space on it. It is the install path of plex. I’ve been running it on that drive for many years. It’s just this one video file when playing back on roku gives me the transcoder crashed error. Playback of other files works just fine.
I’ve sent the logs and example file.

Posting here as well to say the same thing, 33% and crashes, transcoder has crashed. Doesn’t seem like it’s detecting the hardware transcoder of my iGPU.
Any file I seem to play that did work, now fails to work.
@The_Tall_Man Please download the zip of your PMS logs and share them here or via DM.
@Atomatth send you a DM as requested with the logs.

Yep. Same here on all rokus when I have subtitles on. If I tell it to burn subtitles, it works fine.

That is interesting. It does show this in the logs above the previous lines I posted:
Sep 26, 2025 20:42:05.820 [139224583498552] DEBUG - [Req#e4d20/Transcode/370e75b3-5726-4337-b866-333ad4a095cc-2016] TPU: hardware transcoding: enabled, but no hardware decode accelerator found
Even though I have an igpu
I can confirm rolling back on version fixes the issue if that helps.
Does the build I posted here resolve the issue for you guys?

Can confirm this resolved the issue on Roku and the random pausing on Apple TVs. Thank you! Working good so far.
Yes this fixes my reported issue.
