PMS and xGrid

Cluster computing for Plex Media Server
I thought about extending the useful life of my old Macbook Pro 2.53 by utilizing the xGrid component of Mac OS X Server.
I need to get caught up on Open Directory and Kerberos first as that seems to be the first stumbling block.
I have PMS running on OS X Server 10.6.6 very nicely (thankyousoverymuch!) and noticed that the lack of CPU on the MacBook Pro stifled performance where the new Macbook Pro i5 excelled at 720 video.
So, why not throw a bunch of processors at it?

Did you have any luck on xGrid + PMS?

I’m gonna try it too sooner or later…
