PMS Becomes Unstable when "searching" from AppleTV

Mac Studio 2023
Apple M2 Ultra
64GB
Sonoma 14.4
Media: (3) Lacie TB3 12Big, 240TB Library (not a typo)

I’ve got a strange one. I have plex running on a mac (Specs above). Ever since the library update around November of last year, I have been experiencing the following issues.

  1. Searching in Movie library is incomplete
    a) Searching yields partial results if searching based on actor
    b) Searching from results of first search of actor yields slightly different results (???)

  2. Searching from AppleTV devices brings PMS to a screaming halt (CPU time goes to 80% across all cores. Playback continues for a bit, but all sessions eventually stop. Then metadata scanner starts plowing through the library/database looking for all related items from the previous search

  3. Searching on the Server itself seems fine, but still incomplete based. For example, If I search for all movies by George Clooney, it only shows (4) results. The results are only pulling from my “Documentary” Library. If I click “show more results” and force it to look in “Movies” it doesn’t yield any results. However, If I click on the “People” bubble to the left, then click the text for the server under the George Clooney selection, Then click the “Movies” selection under the current server, then it shows ALL of his movies…just odd. In addition to that, there are (2) options for George Clooney, on the server, that say “Actor” and “Movies”. Both options yield different results.

Apologies for the wall of text, but its been super difficult to get a handle on exactly what is happening given the size of my library. This never happened before switching libraries/scanners last fall, and now, it just feels like a complete mess.

Please help!!!
