PMS crash whenever channel is used

  • PMS Server Version 0.9.16.6
  • OpenPHT Embedded 1.5.2 on Atom330 NVIDIA ION mini machine (Zotac ND-HD02)

I use OpenPHT on an ION machine, and it plays video from the PMS library very well. No crash, no problem usually (unless waking from sleep, then it has trouble finding the library). Recently I’ve been trying to use various channels in my server but seems like all of them would cause the server to crash. I’ve tried a few:

  • iTunes channel (music)
  • KissNetwork (from Github)

What’s curious is that the channels are working fine on the web client, but whenever I try to use it in OpenPHT it crashes the server with the following message on the PHT:

  • GetDirectoryFailed for (Plex server)

And I check my server machine and the plex server icon is gone.

Anyone has seen this issue?

Certain channels are working tho, e.g. NPR.

You beaten me to it lol, I was gonna start a topic on this as its driving me crazy.

For the last month I’ve hardly bothered using open pht as this happens almost everytime you go into the channel directory to browse through your channels, very often you can search for a movie and find that movie or scroll down some movies via a channel and then the server just disappears, I go upstairs in my house to where the server pc is and check it to find plex is no longer even running, as if someone has closed it down completly. I was watching a movie on bit torrent the other day and a hour in it crashed.

I started noticing this behaviour when there was a update a month/couple of months ago on the server side of things

Please see https://github.com/RasPlex/RasPlex/issues/492, I have just tested this using PMS0.9.17.0 and OpenPHT 1.6.0 (next release) issued is fixed.

Note: Rasplex and OpenPHT share the same code.

I see that 1.6 is out. Thanks for the work. Seems like NvidiaLegacy is incorporated into the regular embedded one so all is fine.
