OpenPHT Exiting After Playing?

I have an unusual one at the moment. I’ve completed a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 and OpenPHT on our media center desktop. Running the latest version of Plex Server on another computer elsewhere in the house. At the end of watching an episode or movie, it will often just exit OpenPHT instead of returning to the episode/movie selection screen/OpenPHT interface.

Had a quick Google but not finding much info. Wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Very odd. I’m also running Ubuntu 16.04 and have not experienced this. Do you have a log file to show us to hopefully shed some light on the matter?

I’m having same particularly with music.
Here is another log from the crash of OpenPHT 1.6.2 running on Ubuntu 14.04. What happened in here is I had my dad (glporras) start a playlist of songs, then had him hit skip-next to skip to the next song 3 times, letting each one start to play to make sure we heard something. Then I had him skip-previous to restart the 2nd song and let that play all the way through such that the playlist would automatically start the 3rd song which failed with a crash of OpenPHT. The only thing I see different in the logs is near the end where this error was logged:
15:34:28 T:140227678025472 ERROR: ffmpeg[7F894CEFB700]: Header missing

This didn’t happen when we skipped to this song, but only when we let the previous song finish on its own and advance the playlist.

Anyone have any ideas? I’ve made sure that all the ffmpeg libs were updated.

Sorry about the late reply! I thought the forum would send an email when someone replied - silly me!

I never did work it out. I’ve just done a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 as I wasn’t happy with a couple of other things and wanted to start from scratch anyway. It will be interesting to see if the issue pops up again.

Hi Stueh, by this you regained the ability of playing music consecutively??

Hi glporras - I only ever had the issue with videos, not with music. But it seems to have fixed the issue for videos.

Hi Stueh, I’ve also have issues with videos (movies and TV episodes), I was not to concern with them for my biggest disappointment was my music, I listen to it from my play list and collection of songs(about 3600 of them). I’m going to tell my son about your ordeal and see if he will do the same on my client box, who knows, maybe it’s a glitch with the OS after tweaking it over time.
Thanks for your response, I’ll post with any result.

You know what, you were right. It’s happening again, and just tried it with music and it’s happening with that now, too.

Just saw OpenPHT 1.7 has been released, thinking I’ll give that a go.

Hi Stueh, let me know if it’s a keeper.
