PHT crashes on certain TV Show

I have been using Plex for a little bit now, absolutely love it.
I have run into one thing that I hope I can get some help with. When playing back a certain TV Show (Nightwatch) the PHT crashes. I have tried it on three different players and the same thing happens. It’s multiple episodes (I have also tried to replace those episodes with different copies) and it always does the same thing. None of the other shows or movies do this, just this one.
I’ll try to include the log file - any help would be awesome.
Thanks!

Have you uninstalled PHT and installed OpenPHT instead?
I did not mean to simply repost the same error report to the other forum.

Sorry - that’s what I get for reading on the fly. I also didn’t realize there was an OpenPHT.
I do however get the same result :S

I tried PMP on my laptop last night and didn’t have the same issue, The video played fine. Seems like the issue is on PHT & OpenPHT (my android phone also didn’t have an issue).

I am not an expert for PHT, but I’d try the extended video prefs, especially disabling the ‘Hardware acceleration.’

I’d also look out for updated drivers for your graphics adapter hardware.

When you say “three different players”, exactly what do you mean by that ?
Different softwares on the same PC ?
Different versions of same software ?
Different PCs running same PHT/OpenPHT versions ?

Then the problem is most likely tied to some specific feature of the encoding of those video files, due to some uncommonly used feature of the CODECs. A sample could help us analyze the problem.
And even without a sample, some detailed MediaInfo data could still be useful.

If you can produce a sample file that also crashes the same way, that would be ideal.
There are various tools around which can be used to cut/restream videos without re-encoding anything.
(VirtualDub for AVIs, MKVToolnix for MKVs, ‘My MP4Box GUI’ for MP4s and others.)

If you use such a tool to cut off a portion of the video which just contains the Intro or end credits, then I think its distribution does not violate any copyright. (As you’re just spreading their copyright claim, not the copyrighted content.)

I tired disabling the 'Hardware acceleration, it still crashes.
Saying 3 different players I mean I am running PHT on my main media computer, Also tried PHT & OpenPHT on my laptop and PHT on my gf’s laptop. (All windows 7 & 10)
The file did play when running it on my android phone & I also tried the PMP last night and it seems to work on that.
I’ll check and see if I can get a sample that crashes - it’s usually about the 3 minute mark however.
