I’m running the latest version of PMS (1.13.4.5271) on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
My PMS crashes and the icon disappears from the system tray. This happens within 20 seconds of me restarting PMS. Also, I have logging turned on, but the folders under the Crash Reports folder are empty.
I am having the same issue. Ever since my update it wont stay active. From what I have read on other forums, it saws to delete pms and reinstall a previous version and disable updates
Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be working for me. I just uninstalled and then went back to an old server install I had and it is still crashing (before I can even go into the settings within PMS). Thanks though.
It happens every time. PMS disappears from system tray about 20 seconds after I start PMS. I looked at several of server logs right now and it does crash right after the point that it matches an EPG for Wheel of Fortune on all of them.
Please send me by private message the post code / zip code you used for DVR setup and also what options you selected in setup in terms of language and guide source
Just as an update to this thread, I stopped the refresh of the guide in the DVR settings and PMS is now stable and has been running for the better part of an hour without crashing.
I sent you request for the other selections / input you made besides the post code/zip code when you created the DVD. Could you send me that info please so I can see if we can replicate the issue. If you can’t remember, could you delete the DVR and re create it within Plex Media Server and note down the input and selected EPG source and region. You could also then confirm if the crashes remain (would need new logs)
Thanks for all the info. Replicated your configuration and selection of the 150 channels and not getting any crashes. I suspect that the bad data that was in the EPG has dropped off or got corrected.
I understand that your server is no longer crashing after switching to another zip code. Could you recreate the DVR with the original zip code and see if any crashes. I suspect there won;t be any as the cause of the crash is most likely gone.
If the problem comes back, please let me know and will try and replicate your setup again and see if we get the crash and debug it
