My Server will randomly decide not to playback a video and crash.
one way to tell is having task manager open on my server and see that the transcoder never starts working from the looks.
I posted about this in another thread but never got a response.
So far my fix has been to roll back to earlier versions but that didn’t work this time around.
Still continuing to happen. Last time around rolling back fixed the issue, this time it did not.
I can see a crash at Sep 03, 2021 22:50:35
But I have not been able to locate any uploaded crash reports
could you look into the %TEMP% directory and see if there any *.dmp files there. There was one created for this crash with filename
e5f086d7-2b76-4ee2-ac91-311b858454d3.dmp
Also - unrelated - could you send me copy of this file by private message please - there are references to it in the logs
C:\Users\\CRHome\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Cache\relayHostKey.txt
Also could you update to the current release and see if there is a change. Server was running on 1.24.0.4930-ab6e1a058.

Get me fresh logs for crashes with the later version of Plex Media Server and again please check %TEMP% for copies of the dmp file and send these privately zipped please
I updated to the latest version last night but that didn’t resolve the issue.

Appear to be crashing when determining if transcoding is needed.
I have referred the crash dumps analysis and logs to the development team
Resolved this issue with support.
It was an issue with my hardware encoding causing it to crash, might be worth turning it off to test if that causes any crashes for someone.
