PMS creating video previews even when unchecked

Server Version#: Latest Plexpass

I’m trying to add a new TV series library (4K only content) to my server but each time I try, as soon as Plex is done scanning the library (very small right now), I see in the dahsboard/activity that Plex is now creating video preview thumbnails. I have this unchecked in the Library settings and never have had it checked. I’ve tried checking it and unchecking it, restarting PMS, deleting the library and recreating it, etc. Nothing has worked to stop Plex from doing this.

Is this is a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Wait for an hour, then fetch the Plex XML info of the newly added video.
Paste the content here, please.

So your suggestion is to let Plex spend an hour creating GB’s worth of thumbnails and then post the XML?

This is not meant as a solution. Only for diagnosis. And only for one movie.

I can’t do it for a movie because it only does this when adding a new TV library. I just tested it with a Movie library and it doesn’t do it. But it is doing it for a TV series library. I guess I’ll just let it create the thumbnails for the smallest series folder I have.

It might very well be, that the type of “thumbnails” it created was not Video Preview Thumbnails but the regular “still shot” type of thumbnail.
Which plex does for every video.
