For some directors I have 2 entries for the same person. Like in this screenshot, the first entry leads to the movies Paprika, Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers, while the second to Millennium Actress. Also, Memories is no where to be seen (credited as writer).
Any clue why this is? Thanks!!
Refresh Metadata for all libraries and let it run to completion.
I tried that with all Satoshi movies now, but didn’t change anything. You think I need to refresh metadata for my entire library? (4000+ movies) that solution won’t be convinient.
It will only help if all libraries use the new agents.
All movies involved need to be “matched”.
If a library has been changed to use the new agents, but subsequently the necessary metadata refresh hasn’t been perfromed in full, you will see major weirdness. Perform the the metadata refresh.
If a library is preferring embedded meta tags over metadata from agents, then cast info from mp4 files may override plex cast info. And they will certainly not match other movies.
Start with your example movies. Access their Plex media info XML and compare the content of the guid="... (all lower-case letters!), They should all contain guid="plex://movie/...
If any one movie has something different, you need to take a closer look at that movie and its library properties.
